The Phuong Nam ecosystem began as the District 11 General Cultural Services Company, laying the foundation for a journey alongside the cultural and entertainment life of the Vietnamese people.
1992
The founding of Phuong Nam Film marked the expansion into producing and distributing audiovisual content. From then on, Phuong Nam steadily established its pioneering position in film, music and licensing in Vietnam.
2000 - 2024
Phuong Nam grew strongly into a Culture - Entertainment - Media ecosystem with its own identity, owning the rights to and distributing many international films as well as music by leading Vietnamese artists.
2025 - Present
Phuong Nam Media & Entertainment marks a new stage, connecting content, technology and the creative community to open the next chapter of growth.
A network of more than 50 Phuong Nam bookstores nationwide is the mark of over four decades of Phuong Nam steadily accompanying Vietnamese cultural life. Beyond offering books and products for entertainment, learning and creativity, each bookstore is built as a welcoming space where generations of Vietnamese find inspiration, keep memories and meet the values that shaped Phuong Nam.
Books have always been a cornerstone of Phuong Nam's growth. With more than 10,000 co-published titles across many genres, Phuong Nam not only brings valuable works to Vietnamese readers but also helps spread knowledge, nurture a reading culture and connect cultural values across generations.
Phuong Nam is one of the pioneers in building a licensed entertainment content market in Vietnam. Phuong Nam is one of the first companies to work with artists on professional album releases in Vietnam.
